Connect-Ed Program

Taking inspiration from the highly successful Canadian musical choir, “Choir! Choir! Choir!”, Appleby faculty members Ericka Shodin, Sarah Morrison and Sara Joy will lead participants through a rehearsal to learn some of the great music hits of our time. Each session will be dedicated to a different song. Lyric sheets will be provided, harmonies will be taught, and a rehearsal will ensue with opportunities for socializing while making music with a group of people.

How do people get such a perfect complexion in their photos? What is a bokeh effect? How can I get rid of the photobomber in my favourite picture? In this workshop, you will learn all the basic tools of Adobe Lightroom and feel like a photo editing wizard. Come see how much you can shine up your favourite candid or posed portraits. These will surely be photos you want to print and frame at home! Led by Bryce Petersen, visual arts teacher, participants are asked to bring in a USB with no less than three of your favourite portraits, group shots or selfies for editing.
