Introduction

With over 50 camps and almost 250 weekly sessions, Appleby College Summer Camps has something for everyone.   Our camps are organized into four major programs. We have an Early Discovery program customized for younger campers aged 4-7 with both full and half day camps and weekly themes. Older campers aged 7-17 will enjoy a wide variety of choice from our three major program areas : Sports & Adventure, Arts & MediaScience & Success and now our Leadership Camp. More detailed information on any of the camps within these programs can be found by clicking on the tabs above. Our Summer Camp Programs Calendar also provides a quick at-a-glance overview of all our offerings.

Appleby Camps feature highly qualified instructors, low camper to instructor ratios, nutritious lunches, and daily swims (with full day camps). Our standard hours are from 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. each day with drop-off and pick-up between 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.. We also offer optional before and after camp care services from 7:30 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. All camps run on our beautiful 60-acre lakeside campus in southwest Oakville (minutes from the Oakville Go) featuring state-of-the-art facilities in academics, athletics, performance arts and dining.

If driving to the Appleby Campus might be inconvenient, we have new pick up and drop off locations in our Busing Program. Ranging from Erin Mills, Milton, and Burlington, we hope one of these pick up and drop off locations can accomodate your family.

Instructors are recently certified in First Aid and CPR-C, have passed a police check and participate in Appleby’s intensive pre-camp safety and skills training course. Camper to instructor ratios are low with a target of 5:1 in Early Discovery programs and 8:1 in all other programs. All instructors deliver engaging activities and programs and have experience caring for children in their specific camp program. Many are qualified teachers, coaches, recreational specialists or early childcare educators.

In all our programs we emphasize individual skills development, participation, co-operation and fun! Our mission is to promote discovery, inspiration and competition with friends in a safe, fun and inclusive environment. We take pride in making our camps a family experience with events, games and shows for the whole family.

As of October 2016, Appleby Camps are excited to now be a fully accredited member of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA).  The OCA has and continues to be recognized as a worldwide leader in organized camping for children and youth. Member camps must adhere to the highest standards of safety, supervision and quality programming.  All OCA camps must comply with all relevant provincial and federal government legislation and often go beyond these standards. Standards cover all aspects of camp including site, facility, health and safety, food service, water quality, program, transportation, management and staff hiring and training.

We are partnering again this year with Loveable Labels to try and make sure every camper's clothing follows them home after a great week at camp. Please visit their site to place your order before the summer begins!

For further information please check out the rest of our website and should you have any questions, please feel free to contact us directly.

Looking forward to seeing you this summer!
