A Day in Life

A typical day in the life of an Appleby boarding student is a ‘good busy’:
7:00-7:50 a.m. BREAKFAST – in the dining hall.
8:00 a.m. All students arrive at their first class for attendance.
9:15 or 10:15 a.m. RECESS – students can hang out in the dining hall, on campus, or in residence.

All students must attend chapel at their allotted time.

11:30-1:30 p.m. LUNCH – after lunch, students are welcome to hang out in the house.
3:45 p.m.  After classes, boarders head back to their house to get ready for their co-curricular activity (sport, service, or arts).
6:00-7:00 p.m. DINNER – the food is delicious! After dinner you may come “home” and relax.
7:00- 9:00 p.m. STUDY – All boarders do homework, review their notes and work on academic projects.
9:00-10:00 p.m. FREE TIME – boarders may leave their residence but they need to have permission from the duty teacher and sign out with him/her. Boarders may not leave campus at this time. If a boarding student wants permission for late lights, they need to let the teacher on duty know.
10:00 p.m. CURFEW – All boarders must be back in their houses
