This book set includes the following two books in a handsome sleeve.

THE APPLEBY CENTURY: DEFINING INNOVATION AND EXCELLENCE

Told in an easy narrative, this book explores Appleby College from its founding in 1911 by two remarkable men of vision, Sir Edmund Walker and John Guest, with the aim of creating “a school to produce potential leaders for the nation who would be highly educated and perfectly upright,” through the turbulent years of the two World Wars, and into the outstanding 21st century school it is today.

APPLEBY COLLEGE: 100 YEARS IN PICTURES

In this beautifully designed “album,” the history of the school is told through fascinating photos from Appleby’s archives. While not possible to include pictures of everyone who has passed through the school, whether as student, faculty, staff, or parent, the photos from 1911 to 2011 are a fascinating pictorial record of the school’s first century.

*Please note, any book purchased after December 21st, 2012 will not be mailed out until January 2nd, 2013. Thank you for your understanding
