For many of us in the Appleby College community, our memories of the school are filled with vivid reminders of why Appleby is such a special place. We recall cherished friendships, victories won and experiences learned. And, while much has changed over the years, we continue to take pride in knowing that our school is recognized as one of the leading independent schools in the country.
Appleby’s reputation has been shaped in large part by the generosity of our community. Our very roots began with Sir Edmund Walker and the gift he left to Appleby College. To honour his legacy, the School created the Sir Edmund Walker Society to acknowledge and recognize the support of our Alumni, parents, faculty, employees and friends through whose generosity Appleby has been able to provide an exceptional educational experience. Their gifts helped create a lasting legacy that students of successive generations have had the privilege to experience. Leaving a legacy or planned gift allows you to provide future support for the areas and programs of greatest importance to you.
There are several different ways to make a planned gift:
- will bequests
- life insurance, securities,
- retirement funds
- charitable annuities
As planned giving often includes consultations with family and advisors, Appleby College’s philanthropy department would be honoured to work with you and your team confidentially. To discuss your intentions or for more information about making a planned gift, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Just as today’s students benefit from the philanthropy of past generations, future students will benefit from yours.
Thank you for making a difference!
