This week will focus on Global Experiential Learning, with all students from Middle One through Senior One participating in one of the program offerings outlined below:
We look forward to the community connections these special experiential programs will nurture, and we remind parents and caregivers that all Appleby students in Middle One through Senior One will be participating. The Immersive Program is an innovative expansion of the Appleby educational experience, building on student purpose and passion. Last year, a number of students participated in a very successful pilot, and we look forward to rolling out the program to all students in Upper One to Senior One this coming June. No homework, no marks, the Immersive Program is about “learning by doing” as students dive deep into their chosen area of focus. In the coming weeks, students will have the opportunity to learn more about the Immersive Program and play a role in shaping its offerings as we prepare for its launch. Sincerely, Rob McGuiness |

Mid-Autumn Festival
The Mid-Autumn Festival, also known as the Moon Festival, is one of the most significant holidays across East and Southeast Asia. It takes place on the 15th day of the eighth lunar month, when the moon is at its fullest and brightest. Traditionally, it’s a time for families to gather, give thanks for the harvest, and celebrate togetherness under the full moon. A key part of the festival is enjoying mooncakes, which symbolize unity and completeness, along with customs such as eating pomelo, sharing fruit platters arranged in circles to mirror the moon, and lighting lanterns. At Appleby, we will be celebrating the Mid-Autumn Festival on Monday, October 6, 2025 during lunch, giving students the chance to enjoy traditional treats, learn about the cultural significance of the holiday, and come together to appreciate the diverse cultures that make up our school.
