The spirit of the holidays is certainly alive and well on campus as members of the Appleby community have gathered together over the past few weeks to celebrate the Christmas and Holiday season (and it will seem even more festive for students once the Academic Week is complete)! Congratulations to students on their wonderful performances during this year's Carol Services, Residential Life Holiday Concert and Middle School Holiday Cabaret. This has been a year of great successes and positive energy at Appleby. Thank you to our many volunteers, employees and donors who made contributions to the school. We look forward to what 2018 will bring!

We hope you find the opportunity during the holiday season to spend time with friends and family, and for all of our students to recharge their batteries. You are warmly invited to attend Appleby's annual Christmas Eve service on Sunday, December 24 at 10:00 p.m. in the John Bell Chapel. This annual tradition has become a favourite among Appleby families.

On behalf of all of us here at Appleby, we wish you and your family a peaceful and joyous holiday season, and look forward to seeing all students when school resumes on Tuesday, January 9.

With thanks and warm wishes,

Innes van Nostrand, Principal &
Katrina Samson, Head of School

During the cold weather months, students wearing winter jackets, hats, mittens and scarves must take them off in class and buildings.

A Reminder Regarding Student Belongings

All day students are reminded that belongings must be placed in a locker (with a lock) when not being used. To request a locker switch, students may contact their House day student co-coordinator.

All boarding students are reminded to lock belongings in their room when not being used. Appleby is a community founded on integrity, respect, responsibility and compassion, please treat everyone and their belongings as such.
