We’ll keep the momentum going during Friday Night Lights - an Appleby community rugby event on Friday, May 1 starting at 7:00 p.m. featuring our Varsity Girls’ and Varsity Boys’ rugby teams. Come out for great food, musical performances, exciting rugby games, and plenty of school spirit! To add to the already action‑packed term, the final Spirit Day of the school year is coming up on Friday, May 8. Plans are also well underway for Appleby’s next Community Weekend, taking place on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9, with all boarders staying in‑house on the Friday night. Finally, in addition to all these celebrations, events and activities, spring is also a busy time for our student athletes. Annual Campaign Performance
We are proud to share that The Appleby Fund continues to gain momentum through the generous support of our community. Our growing endowment is expanding needs-based financial assistance, ensuring that an Appleby education remains within reach for exceptional students who would not otherwise be able to attend Appleby. And continued investment in student wellbeing is strengthening the programs and environments that help students thrive. Together, we are advancing Appleby as a Beacon of Educational Excellence, today and for generations to come. If you have not yet made your gift to the Appleby Fund this year, we warmly invite you to do so today. Every contribution, at any level, makes a difference. Please click here to give.

Wherever you are this spring, take a copy of The Paper Birds with you! Imagine you have only a pencil, paper, and your puzzle-solving skills to help end the war. The Paper Birds is a WWII love story that reveals the struggles and sacrifices of everyday working women during the war and highlights the previously unknown codebreaking work undertaken by women in Canada during the war. Join us in a conversation with Jeanette herself on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. in the Samuel Academic Resource Centre. Team Parents Needed for all Sports!
The ACPA is excited to partner with Appleby's Athletics department to enhance parent engagement for our Blue Dog sports teams. We are currently seeking one parent per team to be the official representative and liaison between all the team parents, the coach and the ACPA School Spirit Committee.
Thank you to all the team parents who participated over the past two terms. Your contributions helped make each game day truly special, and the smiles from both coaches and players are a testament to the positive impact you’ve made. This is a fun, easy, and rewarding opportunity for parents to support their athletes and the school community. If you’re interested in supporting your athlete's season as a Team Parent or have any questions, please email any of the following ACPA representatives for more information: Dave Olujic, Ilyas Borjakov, or Susan Shao. We would love to see as many parents get involved as possible. Go Blue Dogs!
