Despite preparations for exams, our teams had a very busy week of competition. Overall, there was a total of 17 games this week and I am proud to say that our students were focused and ready to compete. Our Jr. D2 Girls volleyball team took 2 out of 3 sets from St. Mildreds. After falling short in the second set the girls rallied to take the third and final set to win the match. It was a true test of their grit and determination-great job ladies! Our Jr. D1 Girls Volleyball team was victorious as well with an especially strong performance both offensively and defensively by Kaitlin Saxton. Congratulations to Ms. MacDonald, Mr. Foubert and their squad.

Lastly, the Sr. Boys Basketball team took on a very fast York School squad. The boys stepped up their play, worked the ball inside to the “BIGS”, and took control of the game. Special mention goes to Murat Karakas for some absolutely acrobatic baskets, and Jack Wellings for playing some stellar defense. Regardless of coach Zukes escalating blood pressure, the boys managed to pull out the victory.

Have a great weekend and best of luck with exams!
