Online Tool Access Guide (Students)
These unique credentials were sent to you by e-mail. Please refer to that information before working through the following steps.
Students may access Microsoft Products through the Online Service Portal, Office 365 (O365). Let’s begin by signing into the portal with your Appleby Account. Please click on the link below.
Please sign in using your Appleby email and the default password (provided to you by e-mail):
Once you have successfully logged in, you will see the suite of Microsoft products available to you:
Your Appleby Password provides access to many applications and important information. Please do not share your password with others. Your new password must meet the following criteria:
To begin changing your password as you remain logged into the O365 portal, please click on Settings (the gear icon) located in the top right corner of your screen, followed by Change Your Password.
Please enter your old password (this is the default password that was provided to you by e-mail), followed by your new password in both the Create New Password and Confirm New Password fields.
Click submit when finished.
You will return to the O365 home screen once completed.
Microsoft Outlook is used for email:
Remember, your Appleby email address is: YourStudentNumber@appleby.on.ca
E-mails sent to you from outside of Appleby College may be sent to the email address above. However, recipients of your email will see your full name, as shown in the image below. Members within the Appleby Community have the option of entering your full name or student number, when sending email through Microsoft Outlook.
Students are encouraged to check their email at least once-a-day to stay up to date on events, news, and communication from faculty.
Appleby’s education management system provided by Blackbaud for students, faculty and parents. This is your Student Portal (often referred to as BBK12) and is where you will find information on class pages, schedules, calendars, and assignments.
Please click on the following link and login with your Appleby email and password as shown in the image below.
Once you have signed in, navigate to the Resources tab, and select Digital Learning for an overview of your Appleby digital environment as shown in the following image:
Make sure to bookmark the Student Portal (BBK12) link: https://appleby.myschoolapp.com/
Canvas is Appleby’s Learning Management System and is where you will find your Academic course content.
Please click on the following link and login with your Appleby email and password as shown in the image below.
Once logged in you will see a Dashboard of courses that you are enrolled in:

Zoom expands the traditional classroom from a physical space, to an on-line learning environment, enabling students to participate remotely by video teleconference. Appleby has added Zoom access to classrooms on campus so students may experience high quality, synchronous participation by students physically in the classroom and with those on-line.
An Appleby College Zoom account should only be used for school related activities. The Appleby College Acceptable Use Policy for Technology applies to Zoom and the use of all platforms/services that are utilized to provide remote learning.
To download Zoom on your device please open a browser and navigate to https://zoom.us/download.
From the Download Center, under Zoom Client for Meetings, click Download:
Once you have successfully installed Zoom please open the application and select Sign In:
From the Sign In screen, select Sign in with SSO:
Under Company Domain, please type in applebycollege and press Continue:
Zoom will open a browser on your device, as shown below.
Click Open when prompted, ensuring the option to "Always allow applebycollege.zoom.us to open links of this type in the associated app" is selected:
Once you are logged in, you may close Zoom.
