About the Gala

Join us on Saturday, May 10, 2014 and experience a night like no other! Appleby College’s 2014 Gala - La Noche de Fuego will be a festive evening of delicious food, amazing entertainment and the always popular, live and silent auctions. With more than 500 of Oakville, Burlington and Mississauga’s most influential business and community leaders in attendance, the 2014 Gala will provide the perfect opportunity to entertain clients and friends while supporting the ongoing improvement of Appleby College student life.

Founded in 1911, Appleby College is a non-profit, independent, co-educational day and boarding school. With over 750 students, our curriculum offers an exceptionally diverse education that combines rigorous academics with athletics, extensive co-curriculars and community service.

Appleby College’s biennial Gala has always been an important source of funding for both our financial aid programme and the physical development of the school. Our operating costs are largely funded by fee income with significant annual contributions from Commercial Activities and Philanthropy. Throughout our history, a significant portion of new capital for buildings and renovations has come from Philanthropy. Our financial aid programme is also partly funded by Philanthropy and benefits approximately 100 students.
