Campbell MacKay

Campbell MacKay was born in Glasgow, Scotland where he studied literature while attending the University of Glasgow. With a love of the arts and reading, Campbell began teaching in Scotland in 1969 and then Italy, before joining Appleby where he taught from 1985-2005. In 1991, Campbell became Head of the English department and was later appointed Assistant Headmaster of Academics, which led to his role as Assistant Headmaster (1999-2000). Campbell supported Appleby through its transition to co-education and, curriculum revisions from the province and the growth in student enrolment. Campbell was also an alumni parent; Quillan '92 and Roddie '04.
