Appleby College’s biennial Gala is an important source of additional funding for the School and brings together the community for a night of delicious food, entertainment and fun.

Attendees should report to the J.S. Gairdner Arena on Saturday, April 30 at 5:30 p.m. Come prepared for action.

Major fundraising events such as Appleby's biennial Gala are an important source of funding for both our Financial Assistance programme, as well as long-term campus development - specifically, the new Athletic Build.

Appleby has been awarding financial assistance to students since its founding. Today, over 100 students receive some form of financial support (bursaries, loans, scholarships). The Financial Assistance programme enables Appleby to provide talented students - who may not have otherwise been afforded the opportunity - the chance to attend and enrich Appleby. Appleby intends to increase the scale of the Financial Assistance programme to include at least 20% of students over the next decade.

We also recently completed a master campus plan that emphasizes future facility improvements, beginning with the building of a double gym and supporting athletic facilities. The new Athletic Build will be located east of the main campus building on the site of the existing outdoor volleyball and basketball courts. The plan also includes construction of an adjoining third gym that converts into a 1,000 seat school assembly area.

Appleby College’s Gala will be an engaging and interactive evening complete with delicious food and beverage stations and a variety of entertainment. The Gala will offer sponsors the unique opportunity to promote their brand among more than 400 guests, representing Oakville, Burlington and Mississauga's most influential business and community leaders.

We invite you to take advantage of one of our many sponsorship opportunities listed within this package. Appleby prides itself on working with its sponsors to customize a package that best meets their marketing objectives as well as creating a long-term and mutually beneficial partnership.

We are pleased to announce that Matt Dusk, a celebrated Canadian singer, will be performing at the Gala, Shaken not Stirred! Matt has forged an international career highlighted by eight critically-acclaimed studio albums, countless TV and DVD specials, and unforgettable live performances world-wide.

Dusk’s latest solo release, the Juno award nominated My Funny Valentine: The Chet Baker Songbook, was a return to his jazz roots to pay homage to one of the most prolific musicians of the twentieth century – Chet Baker. Dusk has been awarded multiple Gold and Platinum albums, and has enjoyed numerous number one radio hits globally.  His performances showcase his classy cool style, his top band of musicians, and his seemingly effortless way of taking his audiences on a journey through his music and making them feel part of something special.
