Reminder to Update Halton Public Health Student Immunization Records
Earlier this fall, many families were notified by Halton Public Health that their child or children were missing information in their online immunization record. Please click here to view an important reminder to parents/guardians of students in grades 9 to 12 (birth years 2006 – 2009) from Halton Public Health. To avoid school suspension, Public Health is encouraging parents/guardians who have not updated their child’s records to complete the following actions as soon as possible:
- Visit halton.ca/immunize to review the student’s record and submit the required information. For students 16 or older, please see the specific instructions on halton.ca/immunize to access the online record.
- If the student requires immunization, arrange for them to receive the vaccine doses through their regular health care provider, or at a Public Health Community Immunization Clinic. Appointments will be available leading up to the Thursday, March 21, 2024 suspension date. Visit halton.ca/immunize to check clinic availability and book an appointment.
- Parents/guardians must promptly report all vaccines administered by health care providers to Public Health by visiting halton.ca/immunize.
Please note: students whose records are updated after Friday, February 9, 2024, may receive a notice of school suspension. The suspension period starts Thursday, March 21, 2024, and lasts for twenty (20) school days, or until the student record is updated with Public Health.
