In our Upper School, we offer a broad and enriching experience that spans academics, co-curricular activities, and experiential learning at our S. Bruce McLaughlin Northern Campus in Temagami. Students have countless opportunities to explore and develop their identity, both as individuals and as members of the school community. This well-rounded approach prepares them to thrive in a rapidly changing, interconnected world.
Our Upper School emphasizes character education, offering students a wide range of electives from the Arts to World Languages. Through a dynamic digital learning environment, students engage in innovative collaboration, while actively developing leadership skills and confidence. A strong foundation in core courses ensures to fully preparing them for future academic and personal success.
In Upper One (Grade 9), students join small Advisor groups, offering continuous support and guidance from Grade 9 to Senior Two (Grade 12). Advisors work with students, parents, and teachers, helping them transition, discuss school issues, and grow within a close-knit community.
The Experiential Education Programme offers Upper School students a range of travel opportunities in December, March, May, and June, with past trips to destinations like Canada, Argentina, and Thailand. As part of the Appleby Diploma, students participate in two experiential visits to the S. Bruce McLaughlin Northern Campus in Temagami, focusing on leadership and outdoor education.
