Closing Day Celebrations
JUN 12 2023 8:02 AM
As we enter the final week of exams, we'd like to take this opportunity to wish students all the best, including our Middle Two students who are completing their Presentations of Learning. It's an exciting time as students apply the knowledge and skills they've worked so hard to learn over the course of the year.
In less than two weeks, on Wednesday, June 21, 2023, the Appleby community will come together to celebrate Closing Day. One of the most anticipated and memorable events of the school year, it is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the many successes of the past year and to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class. For Senior Two students and their families the celebration will begin at 7:45 a.m. with a continental breakfast in the Schlesinger Dining Hall, followed by the Leaving Class Service in the John Bell Chapel, and at 10:30 a.m. the Class of 2023 Graduation and Prize Giving ceremony on the lawn on the south side of McLean House (the Principal’s Residence). As a reminder, attending this year’s Closing Day ceremony is optional for students in Middle One through Senior One. Prizes and awards for non-graduating students will be announced and awarded in the Fall of 2023.
This school year has been a tremendous one, filled with a number of notable achievements in academics, the arts, community life, service and athletics. We are so proud of our students and their teachers. Thank you to all students, employees, parents and alumni for your contribution and participation in what has truly been an extraordinarily successful year.
We look forward to seeing our graduating families on Closing Day!
