Building Tomorrow's Leaders

Our Leadership Camps are designed to help teens aged 14–16 become confident, capable young leaders. Through hands-on activities, team challenges, and guided mentorship, participants build essential skills in communication, decision-making, and collaboration, all within a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages them to step outside their comfort zone.
The program is offered in three progressive levels:
Each level builds on the last, creating a clear pathway for teens to grow from learning leadership fundamentals to applying them in real-world situations

Leader 1: Leadership in Training - Empower Your FutureReady to take the lead? Our one-week Leader in Training (LIT) camp is designed for motivated teens aged 14–16 who are eager to develop practical skills, increase their confidence, and prepare for future leadership opportunities both at camp and beyond. Throughout the week, participants will engage in dynamic, hands-on sessions that focus on building essential hard skills. Campers will earn their Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification (valid for 3 years), equipping them with life-saving knowledge and the confidence to act in emergency situations, and a requisite for many volunteer and paid positions. They’ll also learn how to present themselves professionally by practicing interview techniques, gaining valuable insight into communication, body language, and self-presentation. In addition, campers will explore the High Five® Principles of Healthy Child Development and the Quest program, two nationally recognized frameworks that promote positive experiences in youth programming. These tools help future leaders understand how to create safe, inclusive, and engaging environments for children, skills that are highly transferable to volunteer roles, part-time jobs, and school leadership positions. By the end of the week, participants will walk away with a Standard First Aid certification, new friendships, and a toolkit of leadership strategies they can apply in school, work, and community settings. It’s a high-impact experience that builds confidence, responsibility, and a strong foundation for future success. Certificate Earned: Leader 1 and Standard First Aid with CPR- C

Leader 2: Instructor in Training - Building Leaders Through ExperienceReady to take the next step? Our one-week Instructor in Training (IIT) camp is designed for teens aged 14–16 who want to strengthen their leadership skills and gain practical experience in a camp setting. Throughout the week, participants will dive into interactive workshops that focus on essential soft skills for working with children and leading groups. They’ll learn how to read body language, hold attention, and lead engaging activities—skills that translate to school presentations, public speaking, and everyday interactions. Through role-playing, group challenges, and guided reflection, teens will build confidence, find their leader’s voice, and learn how to connect with others in meaningful ways. This program is ideal for youth ready to take on more responsibility and explore what it means to be a positive role model. Prerequisite: Completion of Leader 1 (Leader in Training) or current Standard First Aid and CPR-C certification. By the end of the week, participants will leave with a strong foundation in communication, teamwork, and leadership—skills that prepare them for success in volunteer roles, employment, and beyond. Certificate Earned: Leader 2

| LEADER 3: Placement (14-16 YRS.) |
Leader 3: Placement – Leadership in ActionReady to put your skills into practice? Our one-week Leader 3 Placement camp offers teens aged 14–16 the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a real camp environment. Participants will join a supervised camp group and assist with daily activities from morning check-in to afternoon wrap-up. They’ll help lead games, support activity transitions, and contribute to creating an unforgettable camper experience—all while receiving real-time feedback and mentorship from their Head Instructor and camp staff. This program runs directly following Leader 2 (July and August options), and the second week must be completed immediately after Leader 2. During this placement, participants will gain in-camp practical experience, benefit from daily guidance from Leadership instructors and individual camp instructors, and develop confidence through real-world leadership responsibilities. Prerequisite: Completion of Leader 2 (Instructor in Training). Upon successful completion of Leader 3, participants who wish to apply for a volunteer or Level 1 position in next year’s camp season will be guaranteed an interview (age-dependent). In keeping with our focus on fostering independence, applicants will be responsible for confirming application dates, completing the online application, and communicating directly with camp staff, without parental/guardian involvement. This process reinforces the leadership and professionalism skills developed throughout the program. Certificate Earned: Leader 3 |
