Boarding At Appleby
- There are four Boarding Houses at Appleby: Baillie, Colley, Walker and Powell's
- Boarding programme highlights include intramural sport and recreational activity leagues, life skills learning sessions, spirit days, house competitions, House Cup, and weekend outings
- Three community weekends including Homecoming, Canadiana and Camp Appleby where students, alumni and families come together to build relationships, learn from each other and develop mutual understanding and respect
- Gender inclusive boarding in Walker House promotes equity and fosters inclusion within boarding by providing the structure, training and support to help Appleby's 2SLGBTQ+ population
Typical Day In the Life
- Wake up around 7:00 a.m. and have breakfast between 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.
- Morning classes from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
- Lunch from 12:00 to 1:10 p.m.
- Classes in the afternoon until 3:50 p.m.
- 4:00 to 5:20 p.m. co-curriculars
- Dinner at 5:30 p.m.
- Hang out with friends from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. and then study from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
- Free time from 9:00 to 10:00 p.m.
- Lights out at 10:30 p.m./11:00 p.m.

Gender Inclusive Boarding
- Introduced for the 2021-22 school year
- Acknowledges and affirms gender diversity as an important aspect of boarding life with students from all gender identities and expressions - cisgender, transgender, nonbinary, agender and genderqueer, living together in the same boarding house
- Recognizes the needs of Appleby’s 2SLGBTQ+ students that are unique from our heterosexual student group
- Seeks to promote equity and foster inclusion within boarding by providing the structure, training, and support to help Appleby’s 2SLGBTQ+ student population thrive mentally and emotionally
